Palmer Pettersen the wordsmith

Palmer celebrated his 34th year as a really smart advertising professional on April Fools Day, 2012.

Working through various agencies and design firms, as well as directly with clients, he has created award-winning concepts in all media for regional, national and global brands.

Recent projects include brand creation for Steven Smith Teamaker, international trade campaigns for Aviation Partners Boeing, television spots for Oregon Ducks football and packaging for Tillamook Cheese.

Prior to that, Palmer worked as a writer-producer for John Brown & Partners and Cole & Weber, both of Seattle.

His awards include The One Show, Addys, Clios, Communication Arts and PRINT magazine competitions, as well as Best Commerce Flash Site at The Flashforward Film Festival.

On the side, Palmer has taught copywriting at the University of Washington and appeared in two short films: “God’s Clowns” and “The World’s Ugliest Man,” in which he played the title role.
